‘How I Became a Therapist’ by Peter Palumbo

To support National Psychotherapy Day our Clinical Director, Peter Palumbo, shares his heartwarming journey to becoming a counsellor, Samaritan and UKCP registered gestalt psychotherapist. Peter shares how he attended a beginners counselling course initially to support a friend who didn't want to go alone. The experience proved life-changing for Peter and the journey of self-discovery and learning is something he continues to pursue with great passion today. Beverley Blog – Part 2

The centre is starting to take shape! Our Operations Director, Thomas Donohue, went for another 'sneak preview' last week, and below are his photos of how work is progressing at our new, 9 room therapy centre in Beverley. As you can see from the photos, the new walls and entrances to the counselling rooms have been installed. The centre will have 3 ground floor rooms, fully equipped for disabled access, providing a fully-accessible venue for anybody coming for therapy at Focus. As expansion continues, we will be looking for more clinicians to work in both our Hull and Beverley offices. [...]
