Standards and Expertise
Focus Counselling Services is committed to maintaining the highest standards in the delivery of employee assistance programmes in compliance with the guidelines and standards of ethics of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
All of our counsellors are qualified and trained to the highest standards. Delivery of customer care is overseen by our Director of Counselling, Peter Palumbo.
A number of our senior counsellors are also involved in education, providing training and supervision on a number of university and college courses.
Our counsellors have a wide variety of disciplines and approaches, as well as a range of therapeutic interventions dependant upon customer preference. This allows us the flexibility to offer specific support dependant on the issues being faced.
Our counsellors have worked with a wide range of national organisations and consequently we can offer expertise in a variety of fields, including employment and work related issues, bereavement, psychosexual and relationship problems and mediation.
British Association for Counselling and Pyschotherapy
As an Organisation Member of BACP we are bound by it's Ethical framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Pyschotherapy and subject to the Proffessional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.Each individual counsellor is also a member of a professional body.
Delivery of customer care is overseen by our Director of Counselling, Peter Palumbo. Office managament is overseen by our our Managaing Director Beverley Donohue.
The Team
The Focus Team consists of 20 counsellors trained to the highest standards. We offer professional expertise across industry and commerce, local government, the professions, the public and private health care sector, universities and colleges. Team members are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and offer a wide range of expertise.
