Who We Are?
Focus counselling services was established in 1997 and has consistently provided Employee Assistance Programmes (E.A.Ps) and counselling to companies and organisations over this period.
In 2004 we moved to our new premises at 18 John Street and were officially opened by Alan Johnson M.P.
We have continued to expand in providing EAP to local companies and also extended out services to include not only counselling provision but training, mediation and a wide variety of therapeutic intervention.
We currently have over 20 counselling associates, who work in a variety of ways and who are specialists in several areas of therapy. All our counsellors are qualified to a minimum of 2 years post Diploma and are members of a counselling association.
What We Do?
Focus Counselling Services can provide tailor made E.A.Ps to meet the needs of individual organisations.
Counselling takes place at our dedicated centre near to the city centre in Kingston Square.
In 2008 we formed an association with The University of Hull and provide full time and part time degree courses in Integrative Counselling. We also run short courses in a wide variety of counselling therapies and specialist areas.
Our aim is to provide professional help to clients within a comfortable confidential environment, we pride ourselves on the quality of our service
How We Do It?
The Focus Team consists of 20 counsellors trained to the highest standards. We offer professional expertise across industry and commerce, local government, the professions, the public and private health care sector, universities and colleges. Team members are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches and offer a wide range of expertise.
